§ 1004. Cul-de-sac.

Latest version.

Except where topographic or other conditions make a greater length unavoidable, cul-de-sacs, or dead-end streets, shall not be greater in length than 500 feet. They shall be provided at the closed end with a turnaround having a property line radius of at least 50 feet with an outside pavement radius of at least 40 feet and three-foot shoulders with or without curbs and gutters. Cul-de-sacs are discouraged in all new developments.
