§ 1-4.4. Adoption of a zoning ordinance and zoning map.

The mayor and council will consider the adoption of a proposed zoning ordinance and zoning map in a meeting or meetings open to the public called in conformity with the Georgia Open Meetings Law. The mayor and council may review, or have reviewed by staff, any modifications to the proposed zoning ordinance and zoning map prepared as a consequence of the public hearing or public comments. In enacting any proposed zoning ordinance and zoning map, the mayor and council shall apply the standards and factors enumerated in Section 1-8 of this Ordinance, as well as the future development map and policies for the City and Ringgold urban area as contained in the current and adopted comprehensive plan, as amended, of the City.
